Grants and Funding

In order to be sustainable over time, afterschool programs will need to look at a variety of funding sources to meet programmatic needs.  Funding sources for afterschool programs can be found at the federal, state, and local levels from both public and private sources . . .

There is a great deal of variety in these funding streams, such as the agency awarding the grant, the length of the grant, who is eligible to apply for the grant, and the types of permissible activities.  Finding, researching and applying for federal funding sources can be time consuming and difficult – but don’t give up.  Your program will benefit from both the process and the funds.
